Last week students here at the Arts Academy in Cardiff tried three colour reduction monotype printmaking. This involves working on threes separate transparent plates over a single master drawing. Process colours – magenta, yellow and cyan – are applied to the plates with a roller to each plate then carefully worked into by subtracting the inks with cotton buds. The finished plates are then brought together on the press. Please follow this link https://scribblah.co.uk/techie-stuff/ for more information about this brilliant printmaking process.
Wow, there are some great monotypes there 🙂
fun stuff!
